Bordeaux Wine  Council – CIVB

The CIVB: Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux represents the interests of the 10,200 winegrowers in the Bordeaux region. R&R handle the generic wine PR campaign in the UK showing the region and its assets in a new light.

  • The Ecole du Vin – Bordeaux’s wine school in the centre of the City is a great location where visitors can learn everything they want to know about wine. From novices to connoisseurs, there are courses for everyone, including a Women in Wine course and a new addition: Destination Wine Harvest. Courses last anything from 2 hours to four days.

  • Everyday Bordeaux – you don’t have to spend a fortune to get a good bottle of Bordeaux. This list of wines are all Decanter Award Winners (selected at a blind tasting), updated each year, all with UK retail availability, and all within the £5-£15 price bracket.

  • Tourism – the City of Bordeaux has been given a new lease of life with the arrival of the tram, many pedestrianised areas,  and a facelift for many of its historic buildings. Bordeaux has also recently joined the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

  • Easily accessible – Bordeaux is easy to reach flying from Gatwick (BA), Southampton, Norwich and Bristol (flybe.com); Birmingham, Manchester (BMI Baby); Luton and Bristol (easyJet), Dublin (Aer Lingus).  Or you can take a train via Paris or Lille.
